50 grammes of potatoes 

2 cups refined oil,

 as much salt as necessary 

Tools: 

* Bowl 

* Paper towels 

* Candy thermometer 

* Fry cutter or knife 

* Deep fryer or deep pot


A RECIPE FOR FRENCH FRIES 

Step 1 : Make the potato cuts. 

You must make sure that they are chopped in the proper form and size in order to produce this simple dish. They should be cleanly and precisely cut, and neither too thick nor too thin. The secret is to cut the potatoes lengthwise after slicing them first. For that long, even shape, you can alternatively use a fries cutter. 

Step 2 : Cut potatoes need 10-15 minutes of ice-cold water soaking. 

The potatoes should now be thoroughly washed under running water. Give them 10 to 15 minutes in a dish of icy water. To prevent them from turning black, keep them submerged in water.

Deep-fry the potato fries in Steps 3 and 4.
